About Berlin, MD - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Berlin, Maryland is a small town located in the Eastern Shore region near Isle of Wight Bay and Newport Bay. The Worcester County town was populated by about 4,500 people in 2012 according to the United States Census Bureau. Berlin is located 20 miles south of the Delaware state border 25 miles north of Virginia.
Berlin can trace its roots to the late 1700s. At that time, it was part of the Burley Plantation, a 300-acre land grant. The name of the town is said to be derived from the Burleigh Inn, a tavern at the crossroads of Philadelphia Post Road and Sinepuxent Road. In 1868, Berlin became an incorporated municipality.
Today, Berlin is a beautiful and modern town. It is home to many locally owned businesses, a beautiful downtown area, and a wonderful parks and recreation system. Residents enjoy community facilities, services, and amenities and easy access to larger communities. In the Town of Berlin, Maryland, there is something for everyone.
Professional HVAC technicians recommend Berlin residents have access to cooling and heating systems in their homes. The town is located in a region of the United States that is susceptible to warm summers and very cool winters. During the months of June, July, and August, the average daytime temperature highs range from the low to mid-80s. If heat waves pass through the community, it is possible for temperatures to rise to the upper-80s. Cooling systems like central air conditioning units are sufficient to keep Berlin residents cool and comfortable inside their homes.
In addition to cooling systems, Berlin residents should have heating units like furnaces installed in their homes. During the months of December, January, and February, the average daytime temperature highs range from the mid to upper-40s. At night, it is common for temperatures to drop well below freezing. When properly installed by professional HVAC technicians, furnaces will protect residents and their homes from potential damages caused by harsh winter weather conditions.
